What It’s Really Like To Be A Work At Home Mom

Being a Work At Home Mom (WAHM) isn’t easy, but some how I make it work. Here I am dropping some truth bombs about what it’s really like to be a WAHM and how I deal with it.

Being a WAHM is the hardest thing I ever experienced. I never knew how much I valued things like personal space, time alone, and sleep. As the default parents since my husband is active duty Air Force I often find myself struggling to function as a person. Everyone tells you about all the glorious things that happen when you become a mom and while I do enjoy being a mom from time-to-time, it is hard for me to get down on the floor and play with them when I have a podcast I want to listen to or a new training video I want to watch or even just deal with a client issue on my phone.

My toddlers don’t understand I need to work. They only know they need me.
That’s a lot to be responsible for. And honestly, I don’t do a great job all the time.
But this is the season of like I am in.

So if you need me, I’ll just be over here playing cars and building lego castles while I count down the minutes until my kids go to bed so I can take care of that project I have been waiting to take care of all afternoon. You can follow my adventures in parenting on my Instagram here.
